Why do you need an Estate Agent?

The traditional way to sell a house is to use a Local Estate Agent. For many situations this is still the best way however it does incur significant costs. With the advent of the internet over the last few years there are now a number of different possibilities to consider. By filling in the form above you will be presented with a number of estimates directly from people who can help you. Some of the lowest cost suppliers will be operating solely on line and by not having a local office they will have low overheads and hence be able to potentially offer a lower cost service. Some of the higher cost suppliers will operate from a local office and hence their costs will be higher but it might be that they will be more focused and hence may have a higher probability of obtaining a quick sale for a good price. It is not possible to tell you which type of Estate Agent will be best for you but hopefully a set of estimates will be a good starting point. You can then make contact directly and discuss your requirements in more detail before making a decision on the best way forward.

You will need to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the property before you place it on the market.  It is likely to me more cost effective to have this done by an independent assessor.

You will also need a Floor Plan of the property for the sales brochure.  This might be supplied by the Estate Agent but again it may well be more cost effective for you to arrange this indepently.

Very good and professional

We found the website very useful - it functioned easily and as expected. We placed an order with Chiltern Associates, Nina Robinson. She has visited the house and contacted us by telephone. All satisfactory, we are awaiting a documented reply. Thanks for the service
J Campbell, Diss, Norfolk
The website worked well and produced 6 responses (one of whom rang within minutes of the enquiry). We did use one - Bonner and Partners. We still await the report (due today or tomorrow) but from conversations with the surveyor on site on the day have no reason to question the quality of the work. Altogether a very satisfactory service thank you.
