This included post report telephone conversations when Mr Gow clarified certain points, helping me to understand some issues that were unfamiliar to me.
Professionalism :  I found Mr Gow to be very professional with prompt responses to email and telephone communications, and the thoroughness of his report. Also, he pitched his relationship with me perfectly, not overly friendly, but neither was he arrogant or unfriendly. In other words, very business like. This was really excellent service and I can only praise Ian Gow for his professionalism and quality of work.
Value for money :  Compared to other prices this was the one at the lower end - I think it was excellent value for money. I paid less than I would have paid for a regular Homebuyer's Survey, but got even more as this was a Limited Building survey.

Value for money :  Through no fault of her own, the owner of the house being surveyed had to take her daughter to hospital with a severe chest problem which distracted her from attending the survey. The surveyor was unsympathetic and demanded an extra £50 from the house owner. I paid the extra fee instead. I understand his point of view but life serves you a curved ball occasionally and he wasn't interested in the slightest.
Professionalism :  The surveyor met the requirements of the survey but the owners of the property felt he could have been more understanding. The survey was on a house that I am buying but the existing owners. The survey was very good.

Promptness of response :  The surveyor contacted the estate agent, but didn't let me know when he was visiting. I had to ring and ask.
Quality of service :  The surveyor gave me information which was incorrect, fortunately I have a brother in law who is a structural engineer and was able to put my mind at rest about comments made. I was told the chimney needed checking using a cctv devise, as there is no chimney and just an appearance of a chimney, one wonders where he had got the information from. He also told me there was a crack in the lintel over the garage, even I could see on the photograph it had been inserted in two pieces, beneath the lintel is a steel lintel, which was not mentioned. I could go on and on, but feel I am wasting my time as the likelihood of anything being done about it is very slim. I think I wasted my money and would not recommend using your website.
Value for money :  It wasn't value for money, it just gave me a headache!!
Professionalism :  The surveyor sent me the report by email, I have not heard from him since. After my brother in laws visit to the property I felt like writing to him. His professionalism in my view should be brought into question.
