Your journey with Elizabeth George would start with a free home consultation with our Managing Director; Heather Richards. In this initial meeting, you will be asked about your aspirations for the project, your basic spatial requirements, your all time wish list and much more. From this meeting a full design brief and fee proposal will be created and issued to you. This document is a clear, easy to understand document noting exactly what services will be covered by Elizabeth George along with a fixed cost for the arOnce appointed, a survey (if required) will be completed at a convenient time for you and your family. At this meeting we will survey your entire property inside and out and explore your initial design brief and requirements even further. chitectural services.
After the survey has been completed and inputted into a form of computer aided design software we will start to create a number of sketch proposals. As designers we make thousands of design decisions on each project and we believe in providing you with a number of sketch proposals that match your requirements. This allows you to have a greater input in the process and ultimately choose the design variation that is right for you and your family.
After the design has been finalised, Elizabeth George will then commence with gaining the statutory approvals required for your project along with co-coordinating any relevant third party consultants. This is the point where you put your feet up and let us manage the architectural process on your behalf.
Once all statutory approvals are in place and you are legally entitled to build, Elizabeth George will issue you with a folder of all the approved drawings, reports and associated certificates for your records along with a break down of the next stages of your project.
We are also on hand to assist you in finding contractors for the building works. We will happily make initial contact with your nominated contractors in the form of an email or letter of interest. In this correspondence we can request insurance certificates and details of previous works completed by the builder on your behalf. Even when our architectural services have been completed we are always available if you or your contractor have any questions.
