The surveyor, Mark, was very thorough and helpful. I had an hour long verbal feedback following the survey and the written report was clear, logical and easy to understand. It arrived within 4 days and would have come earlier if he hadn't needed to further investigate queries relating to the boiler and heating system. He provided a full range of photos to explain the text and a list of repairs needed with estimated costs. They delivered everything promised and were courteous and professional throughout.

Four days later (on Sunday !) I received his full report.
Quality of service : The report is quite an impressive document, not only by its size (more than forty pages) but specially by its thorough investigation of real and potential problems as well as its grouping of the observed issues into three importance levels. This is very clear and helps me making decisions and taking different actions in due time.
Value for money : Practical advice was also given on how to proceed, including the category of professionals to be contacted for executing different types of repairs or to inspect parts which this survey could not access. Not living in the UK, this sort of information is very useful to me.

On the day the surveyor rang and went through the initial findings, very informative and at the same time to the point, so I was able to raise the queries early. We had a perfect experience with out Level 3 Building Survey with Dunford Penrose from start to end. The initial quote was provided within minutes and followed up by a telephone call from Rosanna outlining all the details of the survey. We were offered a choice of dates, all within a week. When we were forced to re-arrange they were understanding and immediately rebooked without any fuss. We were encouraged to send a list of questions prior to the survey and received a call the morning after from the surveyor, Tania, who was incredibly thorough and went through the full survey in very clear detail. The 41 page survey report arrived within 48 hours (and during the Easter hols!) far exceeding our expectations of time and detail of content. Tania brought our attention to a number of issues we hadn't considered which will save us a significant headache in the long run. We set off pretty concerned about the survey but can confidently say it was a seamlessly arranged, professionally presented service throughout. They deserve a 5 star rating for their core service alone. However they went above and beyond this when an issue was raised by my buyer's surveyor with our roof, claiming a serious defect just before Christmas. I was extremely distressed to learn this, wondering if I was safe in my home with my two children, if I would be trapped in my new build house unable to sell, and wondering who to turn to to rectify the issue. Despite this not being connected to the work DPS did for me on the house i was buying, they jumped into action out of goodwill to review the claims, provide reassurance that my family was safe, and provide clear, calm guidance to me on next steps to investigate the matter fully in the New Year. Thankfully, my buyer's surveyor was wrong and my roof is fine, but without the support of Rosanna and Charles my Christmas would have been ruined. I can't thank them enough and will definitely use them again.

They were able to assist us at short notice and sent us the report within less than a day. In addition to the report, we also had an incredibly helpful chat with David. He was excellent at explaining things to us in layman's terms and what we valued most was the honest opinions he shared with us. When we previously bought a property the survey (from another provider) felt like a check box exercise, whereas this time I truly felt like we had an expert on our side who was helping us perform due diligence on our purchase.

This company came back with a follow up comment, that was really helpful given the crazy housing market at this moment. Once I'd decided to go with the company, it was so straight forward. Each step was well organised in the office and Isabella was very helpful-struck just the right note from the beginning. On survey day I was rung with a verbal report. David took time to make sure I'd understood the issues he was mentioning. This verbal report speeded the process for me regarding initiating searches, and was followed up 3 days later with a detailed written report with photos. Really efficient, and very helpful.
