Company Information
Build Archi Architects (the practice of Mary C Bon RIBA) provides architectural services for residential clients in Bath and North East Somerset, parts of Wiltshire, Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
We provide full or partial architectural services, for projects, involving either modern or historic, urban or rural, residential properties. These are often in or near sensitive natural or historic locations, conservation areas, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (including the Cotswolds and Mendip Hills) or the World Heritage City of Bath. Often, but not always, projects involve the extension, renovation, modernisation or enhancement of existing buildings.
Design for Living
The practice philosophy and approach to architecture stems from a deep understanding of the power of architecture to contribute to a sense of place, at any scale. We consider both form and function in equal measure, and both the static and dynamic human use of space, inside and out, to optimise architectural design for living.
It believes there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to architectural design. Each project, client and property is unique and deserves specific consideration and attention.
Sensitive to particular regional and local contexts, specific client needs and complex technical requirements, we draw on the owner's experience of life and work in different climatic and cultural environments, and of catering for clients from diverse walks of life, considering the needs of both the young and the old, and those with varying degrees of mobility. We understand the broad spectrum of legislative and regulatory concerns that can affect the building process today.
