Find Local Electricians
You will be asked to provide the address of your property and
your contact details. The system will then immediately provide a list of
Electricians who cover your local area. You will then be able to contact them
directly. Using this website will not commit you to placing an order.
If you require a report/survey prior to a house purchase, you will need to
discuss your requirements in detail with your chosen Electrician to decide if
you need a full Periodic Inspection (inclusive of testing) or a slimed down
inspection (without testing).
It is important that electrical installation work is carried
out only by persons who are competent. Such persons are those that have the
necessary knowledge, skill and experience to enable them to avoid dangers to
themselves and others that electricity can create. It is strongly recommended
that you use an electrician registered with one of the government-approved
schemes to carry out any electric installation work you need done.
Registered electricians will work to the UK
national standard, BS 7671, and will issue a safety certificate for their
electrical work to confirm that the installation has been designed,
constructed, and inspected and tested in accordance with the national
electrical safety standard, BS 7671 - Requirements for Electrical
Installations.
You should ensure that your chosen Electrician is registered
with one of the following organisations:
BRE Certification Ltd
British Standards Institution
ELECSA Ltd
NAPIT Registration Ltd
NICEIC Group Ltd
SELECT (Scotland)
